Hyundai’s N series is a line of performance-based vehicles launched from the awesome success of Hyundai Motorsport.

In 2012, Hyundai Motorsport hit the European circuit and launched in Germany, re-entering into the World Rally Championship (WRC). Eventually, by 2013, Hyundai’s European Technical Center in the infamous Nürburgring race track was developed, giving a place for their WRC Hyundai N models to be tested on one of the most difficult race tracks in the world. (Hyundai N)

The “N” stands for not only Nürburgring, but also for Namyang, South Korea – where the heart of Hyundai’s Research and Development center is located. This is where the N series is designed.

For the next few years Hyundai’s i20 N WRC cars continued to place well in the World Rally Championship. After the creation of the Hyundai i30 N prototype, this model successfully completed Nürburgring’s 24-hour endurance race – a feat not many cars can complete.

After much word of proven success, the first production car of the N series – the Hyundai i30 N – was born. You may recognize it here in the US as the Hyundai Elantra GT N!

Since then, the N series

has been developed to provide consumers with a high-performing vehicle that can perform well on your daily commute as well on the track. There are also N Line trim options to a few models that add a sporty dynamic to the Hyundai you already love! The N series is still expanding and we are looking forward to what comes next from this series.
