The VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) is your vehicle’s unique identifier, and is very important for registration and other legal matters in regards to car ownership. This 17-digit number consists of letters and numbers that provide info such as make and model, country of origin, body style, engine and more. The VIN makes it very easy to determine what parts are needed for your vehicle, as well as getting a quote on your trade-in vehicle.
Looking at your new Hyundai for your VIN? This number is available in three different locations on your Hyundai:
Between Hood and Engine
When opening your hood, look behind the engine compartment. There should be a VIN punched into the metal of the body panel by the rear of the engine.
On the Driver’s Side Dashboard
The easiest way to see this number is to look on the dashboard from the driver’s side from outside of the Hyundai. The VIN is located where the windshield and the dashboard meet.
In the Driver Door Frame
There is a label located along the frame of the driver’s side door that is printed with vehicle information including the VIN. This Vehicle Certification label is usually placed alongside another with specific tire information on proper inflation.
